The ShelbyMine Drawstring Bag cjw-007

Introducing my 7th pattern and first bag pattern. My Original ShelbyMine Drawstring Bag. The ShelbyMine Quilted Drawstring bag is intended to be a pretty everyday bag. However, I am told it makes an excellent bag for knitting projects also. I have been asked numerous times for this pattern and thought it was time to share.

I have always said "if I had a nickle for everytime someone asked me for this pattern I would be rich."

I will be listing it for sale in my Etsy shop Quiltville this weekend.

Essence of Autumn Lap Quilt

My son installed Win7 on my computer yesterday. For the most part I really like it, however, I am still a little lost. Things look a bit different so my eyes are confused. He installed the 64 bit so my computer really flies now. I thought it was fast before, WOW I click, I am there, Sweet!

Here is my latest Quilt, I am so in Love with these Essence fabrics. They are so me!
I used my Bouquet of Patchwork pattern and for the large blocks I used the Essence panel. I backed it with my favorite, the Essence Teal flowers, no surprise there.

Four Times a Charm Lap Quilt

I love all Quilts and enjoy using many different styles of fabrics and a variety of patterns. However, I think my favorites will always be the basic scrappy patchwork quilts.

Here is one I used four different Moda charm packs; Patisserie, Allspice, Fig & Plum and Aster Manor. Hence, the name Four Times a Charm.

This Quilt reminds me of a quilt you would find in a trunk in the attic of your Grandma's house; or (if you are not as old as me) Great Grandma's house. Very Lovely with a touch of Vintage Charm.

Modern Love Quilt

I have been so busy I hardly have time to clean. I need a maid...
I sold 14 Quilts in September and 5 of them were custom orders. I thought I finished my last one today, but I almost forgot my Best customer Susan. She ordered an Odyssea Toddler bed Quilt. I will get to yours this week Susan. I love the Odyssea, they are so fun.

I did manage to squeeze in this new Quilt with Amy Butler's "Love" fabrics. I think this is her best collection. I sold this Quilt before I even had if finished. My daughter Loves this quilt but, she had requested a Cozy Flannel throw Quilt for Christmas. We could not believe out luck last weekend when my friend Janet sent me an email that 8 of these fabrics are are coming out in Flannels in December. Amanda, will get her Cozy Flannel Quilt and Love fabrics for Christmas. I hope they are released early enough or I may be Quilting Christmas Eve.

Funky Nautical Odyssea Quilt

For this Awesome Quilt I chose my Scrappy Trails pattern and Momo’s new Fantasy Fabrics “Odyssea”; Funky Nautical prints perfect for the modern boy’s bed.
I pieced 56 blocks instead of the 30 blocks as in the pattern. I utilized the full Odyssea collection and backed the Quilt with Calypso Ocean.

I would have put this quilt on my boys bed in a heartbeat. My Sons are grown, I have a granddaughter, no grandsons, so I am going to make a smaller one for my Niece's son. Is the correct term Grandnephew?

Etsy Find for October

I found Dorothy Domingo on etsy when she emailed me to let me know she placed one of my quilts in her treasury. I checked out her pottery and OMG I fell in Love. Check these out!

This is her description:
These bowls are wheelthrown in a porcelain like white stoneware clay and glazed in sea mist. This glaze is a deep, rich greeny-blue. On the white clay it breaks on the rim to a gorgeous translucent green and gets bluer and "mistier" where it is thicker.

Yes, I bought them, I couldn't help myself.
Michelle, don't tell John, LOL
